Amaze (Formerly Autism Victoria) is a member-based not-for-profit organisation and is the peak organisation for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the state of Victoria.  Amaze represents around 55,000 Victorians who have ASD and work for the benefit of all individuals and their families and to promote better understanding of ASD in the general community.

Nominations for the 2015 National Disability Awards open today, giving Australians the chance to celebrate the people and organisations that have made a positive impact on the lives of people with disability.  The Assistant Minister for Social Services, Senator the Hon Mitch Fifield encouraged people to nominate a person, organisation or initiative in their community that is helping to break down barriers and improve the lives of people with disability.

Friendship Group is a social activity group for young adults.  The group meets monthly, for a social outing on a Friday evening or during the weekend.  Days and times vary to ensure that participants have the opportunity to attend.  The Program Coordinator organises the monthly activity, which is supported by our professional Support Workers, with the aim to also include Interchange Central Gippsland volunteers.  Participants are encouraged and supported to be independent by choosing the activities, ordering their own meals and paying for their own activities.
