NDIS Roll out dates released

The Australian Government signed agreements with the NSW and Victorian governments for the full roll out of the NDIS across the two states.

Existing service users and new participants will enter the scheme progressively. People currently receiving support through the Victorian Government will move to the NDIS at different times depending on where they live and the type of support they receive.

Amaze (Formerly Autism Victoria) is a member-based not-for-profit organisation and is the peak organisation for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the state of Victoria.  Amaze represents around 55,000 Victorians who have ASD and work for the benefit of all individuals and their families and to promote better understanding of ASD in the general community.

Young carers encouraged to apply for study support funding Applications for the 2016 Young Carer Bursary Programme will open on 18 August 2015. The 2016 Young Carer Bursary Programme will deliver 333 bursaries worth $3,000 each to assist young carers up to 25 years old to continue studying and to relieve the financial pressure on them to work in addition to their caring.
