The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing individualised support for eligible people with permanent and significant disability, and will roll out across Victoria from June 2016.
What is ACD Connect?
ACD Connect is a FREE Peer Support Network for families seeking to manage their own supports and make the most of the NDIS to go beyond traditional disability pathways.
Monthly peer meetings will provide opportunities for you to meet other families and share experiences.
Who can participate?
If you are the parent or carer wishing to support your child with disability aged 0-12 years to achieve a fulfilling and purposeful life, you may be interested in joining ACD Connect
What will I learn?
- ACD Connect Facilitators will support groups to learn about:
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Preparing for planning
- Implementing an NDIS plan
- Choice and control
- Advocating for your child
- Community resources
- and much more!
